The Spirit of Northern Italy Expressed In a Bottle of Excellent Wine
Not just Spumante, we also have an exemplary range of high-quality reds and whites
La Pria never stops or becomes complacent, we are not just about Prosecco. Our passion for the land, the vines and oenology drives us to take to different tracks, some beaten, some still to be discovered, but most of all we want to offer our clients – or as we prefer to call them, our cellar’s guests – a wide range of products; a myriad of oenological proposals that can be savoured on every occasion, satisfying even the more discerning palate. Bugamante and Vespiere, a red and white IGT wine, so you’ll always have only the very best selection, with colours, bouquets and flavours that are perfect with every dish, however delicate or rich.
A selection of wines that today has become the pride of the Italian, vintage wine tradition, produttore di vino in Italia.
Bugamante is composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, which unite with the terroir, giving life to an extremely high-quality wine. After natural fermentation, the wine undergoes a process of interrupted malolatic fermentation and is left to settle for twelve months in prestigious French oak barrels. A mildly intense ruby colour, with a delicate hint of purple, the wine has medium tears which affirms this as an important, full-bodied wine.
A pleasure to the nose, it releases fruity and spicy or regioni vinicole d'Italia tones, such as pepper and cloves, all the way through to a gentle aroma of mint and the warmth of vanilla and cocoa. Our success has been in our ability to resist the temptation of overloading the structure, making this a pleasurable wine that is easy to drink.
The promise of the bouquet is confirmed on the palate that meets with fresh, fruity spicy tones, with a smooth note. Optimal aging or Italiani vino d'annata is obtained after a year of bottling and the wine’s characteristics continue to evolve for eight to nine years.
Thanks to its light structure and harmony, the wine is a splendid accompaniment for light dishes, such as poultry, stews and risottos and hors-d'oeuvres of cold meats and cheese. Although less traditional, it also marries well with more unusual combinations, such as Tempura and seafood.
A white IGT composed of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Garganega. The fermentation process is extremely accurate and composite: 70% is fermented on harvest, with natural decantation in steel containers, while the remaining 30% is dried until November.
The latter is fermented and matured in barrels for at least three months, after which it is mixed with the remaining wine for bottling. The glistening, crystalline transparency has a straw-yellow glow, with regular and compact tears that flow down the glass particularly slowly. An intense, complex, flowery bouquet – from May Blossom to Jasmine – and pomaceous fruit. This explosion of nature is completed by a tangy citrus-finish.
Our land is all in the flavour, faithfully reproducing the characteristic bouquet of the chalky and basaltic earth, that emerged from the sea due to volcanic activity. With a decisive body, the length increases notably with age.
Even in its youth Vespiere is a well-rounded wine, but time will play a decisive role, so we would advise you to conserve it in the right conditions. We have created an important wine, suitable for more discerning dishes. As an accompaniment, we suggest rich and aromatic fish dishes, such as our regional ‘Baccalà alla vicentina’, and naturally, it also goes well with poultry and cheese, especially full-fat and matured varieties.
